Northwest Cancer Specialists offers state-of-the-art radiation therapy services with an emphasis upon convenient, outpatient treatment.

The NCS radiation oncology team includes board-certified radiation oncologists with years of experience in caring for cancer patients assisted by qualified medical physics, dosimetry, radiation therapist, and nursing support staff.

The cornerstone of NCS radiation therapy is the Varian Clinac 2100EX linear accelerator, a precision high-energy radiation treatment machine providing 2 X-ray and 5 electron beams for treating a full spectrum of cancer problems.

Targeting a tumor precisely is essential. NCS relies exclusively on CT simulation to deliver complex treatments such as 3-dimensional conformal radiation and Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT).

Advanced computers optimize the treatment technique and calculate radiation doses within the body. Modern radiation treatment combines the accurate delivery of high radiation doses to the tumor while minimizing doses to nearby normal organs.
