Diagnostic Services
Computed tomography (CT) provides detailed cross-sectional
views of internal structures and is extensively relied upon to diagnose,
treat and follow tumors. CT is available at the Rose
Quarter Cancer Center and at the Vancouver
Cancer Center.

PET (Positron Emission Tomography) is a
revolutionary new imaging modality offering both anatomic and physiologic
information about tumors.

NCS provides a broad range of quality laboratory services. The
laboratory department is staffed with well trained, highly skilled,
experienced and certified Medical Technologists and Medical Laboratory
Technicians. Comprehensive testing is done on-site at most NCS locations,
providing essential information for diagnosis and treatment. Each
NCS site laboratory is certified by the Oregon Department of Health
and Human Services through bi-annual inspections following CLIA regulations.
Other specialized diagnostic studies including
bone scans, MRI scans, lung scans, heart scans, and biopsy procedures
are available at local facilities and will be arranged for you by
NCS staff as necessary.
