It is exciting to be able to provide our patients with access to promising cancer
fighting agents through participation in a clinical trial. The type of agents
that we are now able to offer our patients have become far more targeted and
complex than when I started in the research field 11 years ago. It is exciting
to be able to offer patients the opportunity to receive novel agents in the comfort
of their own community. I can’t wait to see what the future holds as research
continues to develop cutting–edge treatments.

I had a difficult time choosing a career path in life because I was interested
in so many different things. I remember doing one of those exercises to help
you clarify your goals in life and the question was “If you could do anything
at all in life--what would it be?” For me the answer was always “I
would cure cancer!” This is the most that I can do to participate in that
process of finding a cure for cancer. And everyday I hope that one of these new
drugs that we have in clinical trials will be that cure. |
DATA COORDINATORS
Cherri Anders, CMA, DC
Research Data Coordinator
I joined the research team last year as a data coordinator after working as a
certified medical assistant since 1991. I have learned so much about the research
process from this great group of people. The dedication of everyone in this field
will continue to improve the lives of those affected by this disease, and I’m
excited to be a part of this organization!
Robin Doyle, CMA
Research Data Coordinator
I joined Northwest Cancer Specialists nearly 15 years ago and I’ve been
part of the research team for about the last 8 of those years. Little did I know
when I became a certified medical assistant back in 1982 that I would be so drawn
to oncology. I truly enjoy being part of such a passionate and dedicated research
team and I’m always so inspired by our patients. Research cures cancer
and I’m excited to see what tomorrow brings!
Amy Moon, CMA
Research Data Coordinator
I joined the research team in July 2006. What an exciting job this has turned
out to be. It is an ego booster watching the changes research has made in patients
lives. I feel very fortunate to work with a great team. I look forward to many
years of helping patients beat their disease. |
