Scheduler

This position is located at our St. Vincent location in Portland, Oregon (near Beaverton). Under minimal supervision, this position is responsible for scheduling patient appointments and tests in an efficient and timely manner; both in person and over the phone. This position includes frequent interaction with physicians and patients, and requires strong oral and written communications skills, with a strong eye for detail.

Patient Financial Counselor

Seeking a full-time experienced Patient Financial Counselor to join our team at our St. Vincent Hospital location in Portland OR. (near Beaverton).  Under general supervision, is responsible for insurance verification and eligibility, assessment of patient financial requirements, counseling patients on insurance benefits and co-payments. Obtains pre-authorization of services. Obtains and maintains accurate patient demographics.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Requires a minimum five years medical office experience with experience with insurance procedures and patient interaction. Experience with billing of drugs preferred. Qualified candidates will have an understanding of CPT, HCPC and ICD-9 billing guidelines. Understanding of Oregon / Washington Medicare and Medicaid. Experience with HMO, PPO, POS regarding referrals and prior authorizations. The Ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with MS Word and Excel required.
